Woodchuck

Professional digger, backyard legend

Where They Set Up Shop

Found statewide in fields, forest edges, and even suburban yards, anywhere they can dig and find plenty of plants to eat.

Groundhog Life

Also known as groundhogs, woodchucks are true hibernators spending winter deep underground, living off stored fat. When they come up, people try to use them for weather prediction which is somewhat unfair as their meteorology knowledge is rudimentary at best.
